About T Royal
Fontroy was raised on the Northside of Omaha in a single-parent home, navigating the challenges of poverty, public housing, and instability. Despite a turbulent upbringing, he found early outlets in sports, gymnastics, and eventually—music.
Inspired by legends like Tupac, Ice Cube, and Outkast—as well as local icons like HD the Great—Fontroy recorded his first studio track at just 16. He later spent years in New York recording at Sony Studios and sharing stages with major artists including Snoop Dogg, Keisha Cole, Too Short, and Spice 1. One of his standout performances was in front of 15,000 at the Funkmaster Flex Car Show Tour.
Fontroy also made a name for himself in California, performing at the Nokia Theatre and hosting major nightlife events, including Royal Tuesdays in Ontario. He created platforms for local talent, mixing hip hop with comedy and R&B showcases.
Now based in Omaha, Fontroy continues his grind as a dock worker by day and independent artist by night. His latest album, Brain Food, features visuals for tracks like “Neblastya,” “Love & Passion,” and “Jungle.”
Fontroy is the founder of Born Royalty Ent., a brand and clothing line built from his lived experiences, passion for music, and belief in rising above struggle. Born Royalty isn’t just a label—it’s a lifestyle.
